Find the right shoes for you

No two runners move exactly the same way, which is why finding the right pair of running shoes is about more than just picking your favourite colour (although that’s important too).

Our Gait Analysis & Shoe Fitting service helps us understand how you move and, most importantly, find running shoes that feel comfortable and work well for you.

We can look at your gait in a few different ways — running or walking in new shoes, barefoot, or in your current running shoes. If you’ve got a pair you’re already using, bring them along! They can tell us plenty about how you run and how your shoes are working for you.

Not just for runners

You don’t need to be training for a marathon — or even consider yourself a “runner” — to benefit from gait analysis.

The right footwear can make a big difference to how comfortable you feel on your feet, helping provide the cushioning and support you need whether you’re running, walking, heading to the gym or simply spending plenty of time on your feet.

How much does it cost?

Our Gait Analysis service costs £15.

But if you go on to buy a pair of running shoes from us, we’ll take the £15 off the price of your shoes.

And there’s no pressure to buy on the day. Take your time, have a think, and come back whenever you’re ready. Just bring your Gait Analysis receipt with you and we’ll deduct the £15 from your shoe purchase.

Video Gait Analysis

For our video analysis, we’ll get you walking or running naturally on our in-store treadmill while a high-speed camera records your movement from behind.

We’ll then slow the footage down and take a closer look at how you’re moving. From there, we can try different shoes, compare how they feel and perform, and help narrow things down to the options that work best for you.

No jargon. No judgement. No pressure.

Just friendly advice, plenty of shoes to try, and a bit of running geekery to help you find a pair you’ll love putting miles into.

What is Gait Analysis?

A gait analysis is a detailed assessment of how you walk or run. Through video and pressure mapping, we examine your stride, foot strike, and posture to spot any imbalances or movement patterns. This allows us to recommend footwear tailored to your individual needs and running style.

Why should I book a gait analysis?

Knowing your movement pattern helps prevent injuries, improve performance, and match you with footwear that fits your natural motion.

How long does it take?
